YogaMedics is proud to help our veterans heal. Many soldiers today are struggling with physical and psychological wounds.
YogaMedics therapy helps our veterans by addressing both of these types of wounds, while teaching long term coping skills, stress and pain management. Over 4,000 veterans have successfully completed our individual therapy program to date.
YogaMedics currently works in the VA hospital system, providing individual therapy and group classes for a variety of conditions.
Since 2012, YogaMedics has worked with the Defense and Veterans Center for Integrated Pain Management (DVCIPM), on a study examining the impact of of individual yoga therapy for chronic back pain among veterans. The mission of DVCIPM is to develop consensus recommendations for the Air Force, Army, Navy, MHS, and VHA integrated pain management communities for improvements in pain medicine policies, practice, education, and research, based on the best available evidence.
In 2018, the full study, conducted at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, was published in the Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
