In 1976 Punk Rock was a new phenomenon that you could not outrun. Its loud, crude, and bombastic overtones shook Europe and infiltrated back into the USA. This story tells how this abrasive punk band got signed onto Stiff Records and created an army of devoted fans since 1976. It has tons of live footage, interviews with band members Brian James, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies, and Dave Vanian. Don't miss it.

INXS LIVE BABY LIVE - FATHOM EVENTS MOVIE REVIEW >>>>

FATHOM EVENTS – - In the late '80s there was no bigger band than INXS. They were everywhere you looked including MTV, movie soundtracks, the radio late-night TV shows. Lead frontman Michael Hutchence lead the band and was both hypnotic and mesmerizing. INXS had a dynamic presence on stage that few performers possess and could work the crowd, any crowd, no matter if it was a small bar or Wembly Arena. The film, "Live Baby Live" captures much of that electric energy and is being shown for one night only through Fathom Events.

The Fleshtones Pardon Us For LIving But The Graveyard Was Full FILM REVIEW ON HOT METRO FINDS

THE FLESHTONES - PARDON US FOR LIVING BUT THE GRAVEYARD IS FULL MOVIE REVIEW >>>>

Holy Super Rock Manna from Heaven it's the glorious Fleshtones on the big screen. There is a great chance you never heard of them but they are one of the great sounds to come out of New York in 1976. The Fleshtones first blasted on the CBGB's stage at a time when Punk Rock was the preferred sound. These guys had a handle on garage rock and blending in the sounds of R&B, '60s dance-rock, and good ol rock and roll. This is the definitive story about this legendary band from all the original members. It is a treasure I assure you.

New York Doll MOVIE REVIEW on Hot Metro Finds. The life of Arthur Killer Kane is explored and his last show in England.

NEW YORK DOLL MOVIE REVIEW >>>>

There was a time when rock and roll was dangerous. There still may be some danger attached to some of it now depending where you look but overall it is a pretty sanitized artistic experience. The film, “New York Doll” (directed by Greg Whiteley) examines the life of New York Dolls drummer Arthur Killer Kane. This looks at the early gritty days of forming the band in New York in 1972 and follows up his last days. The Dolls were a proto-punk, alchohol, drug fueled machine that was into mayhem and shock value. They were never a commercial success but they did manage to leave a cult like following and gain a tremendous amount of heart and street cred.

Sad Vacation by Danny Garcia looks at the life of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen and their last horrifying days at the Hotel Chelsea, New York City

SAD VACATION - THE LAST DAYS OF SID AND NANCY MOVIE REVIEW >>>>

The new film about wild Punk rockers Sid and Nancy exposes many details about their lives not commonly known. Director Danny Garcia, (6 Bullets to Hell, and The Bounty Killer) gives us new insight by interviewing people who knew them. This sets the film apart from the many other films and documentaries that have been made about these rockers. It delves deep into the gritty lifestyle they lived and fills in the cracks of the plot so that we get a better understanding of what happened. We are plunged back in time to the year 1976 and the first-person accounts are so riveting that we experience what that life was really like.

Shut Up LIttle Man movie review on Hot Metro Finds. The odd lives of Peter and Ray

SHUT UP LITTLE MAN MOVIE REVIEW >>>>

The mid-'90s was a turbulent time looking back on it. This was a time of change and all of we were graduating and going our separate ways. Grunge music had hit its peak and the main messiah of that movement, Kurt Cobain, had committed suicide. College was coming to a close. There were hints at making big money if once we left our college campus. That's when I first stumbled across the weird world of Peter and Ray.

The Replacements Color Me Impressed film review on Hot Metro Finds. Paul Westerberg, Bob Stinson, Chris Mars and Tommy Stinson are remembered.

THE REPLACEMENTS - COLOR ME IMPRESSED MOVIE REVIEW >>>>

The Replacements are the subject of a documentary of sorts directed by Gorman Bechard. None of the band members appear in this production and the story is told through a collection of people who knew them, saw them, and worked with them from the very beginning to the end. These people speak for them and create a complete picture.

Motley Crue The Dirt movie review on hot metro finds is reviewed.

MOTLEY CRUE - THE DIRT MOVIE REVIEW >>>>

What do you do when life hands you lemons? Or worse, in this case, leg warmers, “Just Say No”, and the makings for what could be the worst decade in recent memory? According to singer Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue, “You make it your own”. This is the basic philosophy for one of rock and roll’s most notorious acts. The story of Motley Crue is really a post teenage dream come true that every angst ridden kid really wants.
